President Obama’s Inauguration

On this January 20th, I know a few things for sure: that I have stood up for what I believe, that I have helped create this moment in history, and that I couldn’t be more proud of our 44th President, Barack Obama, and what he means to America. I love his politics, his manners, his emphasis on family, and that he writes letters to his daughters. I love that he has overcome.

It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance. -Robert F. Kennedy
