Confession.

I’m a blog junkie.

I can’t remember when it started – it couldn’t have been more than a few months ago – but reading blogs has become my favorite nightly hobby. Yes, the blogosphere is my new best friend. Is that bad?

I’m not sure which blog I found first, but if you look to the right of this post you will see the many that I follow. It’s amazing how many blogs are out there, and even more amazing the amount of incredibly well-thought out, well written ones that are floating around.

So why have I gotten so caught up in the lives of others – people I haven’t even met? Well, I’m just so fascinated with the way other people live. And I love being surrounded by such fine writers. I love hearing about families and pets and LIFE, and I love seeing all the great photography, and laughing.  Blog posts that leave me cracking up are the absolute best – and it happens pretty regularly. (Thanks fellow bloggers for providing such hilarious content that I nearly pee my pants on a weekly basis.)

And the absolute best part? I am learning from these people. Everday someone says something that is either news to me, or illustrates the other side of an issue. Blogging has given me the opportunity to connect and engage with others, and “meet” some amazing people.

So tell me, which blogs do you follow?

  1. Hi Katie!

Thanks for adding me to your blogroll. I’ve been doing it for exactly a year now and feel the same way you do. It’s so interesting to follow the lives of others and to learn from them.

If you’re looking for some hilarious blogs, check out Romi (Year of the Chick), The Leaky Brain, The Newborn Identity, and The Spohrs are Multiplying. They’re all listed on my blogroll.

  2. i read several blogs done by people at my church (pastor, etc).

i’m completely obsessed with any blog dealing with food allergies. i’ve become a cooking fool since finding out about my wheat and egg allergies a year ago! some of my faves are:

http://www.glutenfreegirl.com … she’s fantastic (and her book by the same name is GREAT!!).

http://www.glutenfreefoodreviews.com awesome blog. she reviews lots of great products.

    http://www.101cookbooks.com heidi swanson is great.

http://www.glutenfreegoddess.blogspot.com i’ve made several of karina’s recipes and they are HUGE hits. this is my favorite so far: http://glutenfreegoddess.blogspot.com/2008/05/horseradish-spiked-red-potato-salad.html

and i LOVE http://www.postsecret.com i can’t even tell you how many times i cry when i look at this site or read one of the books. some of the postcards are just heart-wrenching. and then others just make me grin from ear to ear!!

so, i could go on and on and ON, but those are some of my faves. 🙂
