tropical storm fay update

We could get hit, but most likely not directly. It shifted northeast a little, which still leaves us in the front quadrant – the danger zone – and will probably hit closer to home than was earlier projected. But we won’t really know anything definite until tomorrow morning, when we see exactly where it hits tonight. Local schools have already cancelled for Tuesday and Wednesday, and we are definitely expecting heavy rain and strong winds. (Mom, please don’t freak out – we have supplies; we are prepared now!)

My bf is so sweet; driving home from work tonight he called me, not knowing I had already stocked up on food and some water and other basics.

Kev: “What do I need to get on the way home? What do you need? Are you scared?”

Me: “I don’t really know what to expect! I think I’m okay!”

Let’s just hope the only thing that affects us is wind and rain. We are as prepared as we can be. Full tanks of gas, batteries, flashlights, water bottles. We have a safe for document storage should we need it. I’m just in limbo mode, catching up on things around the house and WAITING.
